Carhartt WIP
The story of an icon
Carhartt was founded in 1889 in Detroit, Michigan, by Hamilton Carhartt, with a simple mission: to create durable workwear for American laborers. More than a century later, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) was established in 1994 in Europe by Edwin Faeh, who reinterpreted Carhartt classics for urban culture and streetwear.
The legacy
The Active Jacket, Watch Hat, and Double Knee Pant have become cult pieces in global streetwear. Adopted by skate, hip-hop, and underground cultures, these workwear items, transformed into urban icons, have conquered Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, and New York.
The values
Authenticity, durability, and street culture. Carhartt WIP embodies the bridge between American workwear and European streetwear culture, with impeccable manufacturing quality.
Why Carhartt WIP is iconic
130 years of history for Carhartt, 30 years for WIP, and pieces that have never been more desired. Carhartt WIP is workwear that has become the uniform of creatives worldwide.
